We are a community led, not for profit company, set up by a group of local residents to bring people and organisations together so that we can create a brighter future for Weymouth through enterprise, employment, positive community action and empowerment.:

Our Projects

Starfish Enterprise

A co-working hub in Weymouth.  Looking for new premises! Launched under the umbrella organisation, Weymouth Area Development Trust, Starfish Enterprise is a co-working project offering flexible, supportive and affordable space, where the local start ups and small businesses can work, share space, ideas and energy. There are also other spaces for meetings or ‘virtual’ meetings

Tumbledown Farm

A 27 acre site on the edge of Weymouth Town to be re-purposed for the community to use in a variety of ways, including local food production, education and training, health and wellbeing and for local groups to meet in a safe place for a variety of environmental and social activities.

Community Land Trust focused on building affordable homes for people with a local connection, and reserving a percentage of those for young people.

Totally Locally

Local independent businesses are supporting each other to encourage people to shop locally so that we can keep the wealth in the Town and help local businesses to survive and thrive. Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market

As a result of huge support from the people of Weymouth, we have joined with Weymouth BID, Weymouth Town Council and Dorset Council to bring a Farmers Market back to Weymouth.  Best in Dorset Market have agreed to run it and so it will be held every 2nd Sunday of the month 10am-3pm just outside

Weymouth Bounces Back 2021

Help for Weymouth businesses to bounce back from pandemic. Welcome Back!   Businesses in Weymouth are invited to find out what support is available to help them move forward after the pandemic at an event on Tuesday. Weymouth Farmers and Makers Market hailed a success!

In 2019 we ran a Facebook campaign linked to Totally Locally Weymouth. We asked if people wanted a Weymouth Town Market again and got two and a half thousand positive responses. So we set about looking for a market organiser, and Best in Dorset stepped up. We did not foresee a global pandemic would promptly

Exciting plan agreed to transform Tumbledown

Weymouth Town Council has approved a business plan outlining how the Tumbledown project will transform a site in Weymouth to create a sustainable and inclusive community asset. At the latest Full Town Council Committee meeting, members discussed and agreed details for the Tumbledown project. The project aims to bring the land back in to use

Dorset Council Team Away Day at Tumbledown
